George William Starbuck, Sr., 77, of Ottawa, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019. Cremation is planned. No services are scheduled. George was born February 19, 1942, in Madison, Kansas, the son of George Arvle and Mildred Louise (Snider) Starbuck. He lived in Missouri moving in 1953 to Ottawa. He attended Ottawa schools. George was united in marriage to Mary Louise Ward September 17, 1966, in Ottawa. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his son, George Starbuck, Jr. and wife Betty of Ottawa; five siblings, Arvle Starbuck and wife Ilene of Garnett, James Starbuck and wife Evelyn of Topeka, Karen Cooper and husband Eddie of Burlington, Judy Croan of Blue Mound, and Esther McClure of Ottawa; four grandchildren, Dakota Starbuck of Ottawa, Cherokee Starbuck of Williamsburg, Katlyn Nickell of Ottawa, and Alex Sharp also of Ottawa; two great-grandsons, Aiyden Starbuck of Ottawa and Wyatt Morrison of Williamsburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mildred Starbuck and brother-in-law, Lavern Croan. George was employed with several companies as a construction/factory worker.
