Gary Lee Mosher

Gary Lee Mosher, 64, Ottawa, died Sunday, June 10, 2007, at the Olathe Medical Center. He was born Oct. 10, 1942, at Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Charles Edgar and Nettie Louise (Bemus) Mosher. He lived in the Ottawa/Centropolis area the last eight years, moving here from Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where he had lived since 1974. Gary graduated from Grand Island High School in Grand Island, Nebraska, with the class of 1960. From 1960 to 1962, he attended Sioux Falls College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 1962 to 1964, attended University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota; graduated from University of Nebraska in Omaha in 1968 with a Doctorate of Medicine; and completed his internship and residency in anesthesiology from 1968 to 1971 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. He was an anesthesiologist for Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, from 1974 to retirement in 1990. From 1990 to 1998, he owned and operated Woman Lake Lodge in Ontario, Canada. Gary served in the United States Army from 1971 to 1974, earning the rank of Major and receiving the National Defense Service Medal. His tour of duty included Okinawa, Japan. On June 10, 1984, Gary was united in marriage with Mary Crowley in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She survives of their home. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and William Harrison, Bartlesville, Okla.; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Trinidy Roecker, Bartlesville; a daughter, Lana D'Arco, Manalapan, N.J.; a son, Keith Mosher, Hurst, Texas; and 10 grandchildren. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2007. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Mosher at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 7 to 8:00 Tuesday evening.
