Gary Kessler

Gary Kessler, age 53, of Lawrence, Kansas, formerly of Paola, Kansas, died November 15, 2012 at his home. Gary was born July 5, 1959 at Olathe, Kansas. He was the sixth of eight children born to William Russell and Mary Annette (Rothwell) Kessler. Gary graduated from Paola High School with the Class of 1977. He then obtained an associates degree in electronics. Gary worked for Relm Wireless/BK Radio. He had been with the company for nearly 30 years. Gary enjoyed fishing, golfing, photography, and especially spending time with his family. He was a devoted Chiefs and Royals fan. He also enjoyed being a spectator at his nieces and nephews sporting events and other activities. Gary was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, and one nephew Clayton Kessler. He is survived by his mother Mary Kessler-Guenther of Gardner, Kansas; his son William Alexander "Alex" Kessler (Heather)of Baldwin City, Kansas; his daughter Emily Kessler of Lawrence; one grandson Thatcher Wayne Kessler of Baldwin City, Kansas; four brothers Stephen (Connie) Kessler of Topeka, David (Heidi) Kessler of Paola, Dan (Dana) Kessler of Eva, Alabama, and Alan (Christine) Kessler of Gladstone, Missouri; three sisters Connie Riley of Olathe, Michele (Owen) Harbison of Ottawa, and Deanna (Mike)Kessler-Miley of Baldwin City; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
