Gary Joshua Hire of Paola, Kansas passed away Sunday afternoon April 8, 2012 at the Meadowlark Valley Pines Tree Farm, Paola, Kansas in the environment that he loved. He was born Sept 16, 1980 in Kansas City, Kansas. His birth mother was from Kansas City, Kansas. He was blessed with the gift of a loving family in March of 1982 at the age of two to Alan and Jan Hire and family of Paola, Kansas. He was a 2000 Graduate of Paola High School and a 2001 Graduate from Fort Scott Truck Driving Program. During his Scouting Career with Troop 100 of Paola he achieved the Rank of Eagle Scout in 1998. Gary worked at numerous jobs in the construction and landscaping trades. His passion was working for Meadowlark Valley Pines, planting and moving trees. He loved being in the great outdoors; camping, fishing, four wheeling, and demolition derbies. He especially enjoyed spending time with his son Bobby. Gary would help anyone at any time with no conditions. Gary was blessed with a large family and friends. Immediate family survivors are his parents Alan and Jan (Brown) Hire of Paola; two sons Robert "Bobby" Hire of Paola and his mother Amy Sinclair, and Prestin Elmore of Independence, Missouri and his mother Angie Petree; three sisters Ashley Sollis, Brittany Brown and Amber Brown all of Paola; his brother Perry Hire of Leavenworth; two nieces Makadyn Sollis and Elizabeth Dubois; three nephews Jordan and Zayden Sollis and Gabriel Mott all of Paola; an uncle Tom Hire of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three aunts Teresa Hire of Paola, Judy Pryczynski of Decatur, Illinois, and Peggy Kunde of Bloomington, Illinois; an uncle Danny Brown of Paola; three aunts Anita Obermeier and Marsha Swearingen of Paola, and Sandy Schroeder of Freedom, Oklahoma; his mentor Gene Oliver of Paola; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three uncles Rick, David and Paul Brown and his grandparents Jacob and Ella Brown and Richard and Lois Hire. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the Gary Hire Memorial Fund, established for a Scout Camping/Scholarship Fund and his children"s educational fund. Gary will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Love your family
