Galen Robert Lundstrom

Galen "Robert" Lundstrom, 57, of Paola, passed away on February 27, 2024, at Olathe Medical Center.

He was born on October 21, 1966, to Sheldon and Kathryn (Chambers) Lundstrom in Hutchinson , Kansas. He spent his early childhood growing up on a farm outside of Little River, Kansas. He graduated from Little River High School in 1985.

Robert was a machinist for most of his working life.

In 1996, he was united in marriage to Laura Lundstrom (Ward). For many years, they made their home in Walnut, Kansas until moving to Paola in 2012.

Robert had a passion for electronics, loud music, NASCAR, Kansas City Chiefs, and KU Jayhawk basketball.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved step-father, Lee Hopkins of Lorraine, Kansas; and a great-granddaughter, Gianna.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Laura Lundstrom of the home; brothers, Ted Lundstrom of Hutchinson, KS, Loren (Linda) Lundstrom of Willard, MO and Kenneth (Robyn) Schrock of Athens, Alabama; step sons, Abe (Nicki) Johnson of Sedalia, MO, Mike (Chelisa) Sturm of St. Paul, KS, Kevin (Regina) Johnson of Walnut, KS, and Joshua (Johanna) Sturm of Walnut, KS; six nieces, three nephews, eight grandsons, one granddaughter, six great-grandchildren, his dog and companion, June and many other friends and family.

Inurnment will be held at a later date at Bean Cemetery in Little River, Kansas.

Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Walnut Hall in Walnut, Kansas.
