Freda M. Stites age 79 of Olathe passed away Tuesday Jan. 6, at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Olathe. Services are Saturday Jan. 10 at 10AM Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Paola. Rosary will be recited at 6PM Friday Jan. 9 at the Penwell Funeral Home in Paola, with visitation immediately following. Graveside Services 4PM St. Patrick Church Cemetery in Laurie, MO. Memorials to the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Freda was born Feb. 18, 1929 in Kansas City MO. to Charles Gwen and Bertha Mae Harger. She grew up in the Kansas City area and graduated from Northeast High School in 1946. On Aug. 17, 1949 Freda was united in marriage to Harold William Stites, Jr., in Kansas City, MO. They were married 57 years before his passing on Oct. 16, 2006. She was a loving wife and mother raising 4 children. She enjoyed her family and friends and was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Preceding Freda were her parents, husband and one sister, Gwendolyn Carsey. Survivors are her children, daughter Jennifer Campbell of Paola; son Dr Bill Stites of Charleston SC.; son Ronald Stites and wife Barbara of Brighton CO; son Dr. Dennis Stites and wife Jana of Lee's Summit, MO.; 13 grand children; 8 great grand children; 3 sisters, Carrie Lee Wilkinson of Raytown, MO., Barbara Ragsdale of Independence, MO., Linda Jolly of St. Louis, MO., and a brother Dr. Charles Harger of Austin, TX.
