Frank Junior 'Bud' Campbell was born on Friday, February 29, 1924, in Michigan Valley, Kansas. He was the son of Frank and Helen (Cearfoss) Campbell. He lived and farmed in Franklin and Osage Counties all his life, and made his home in Pomona, Kansas, until his death on Saturday, October 7, 2006, at the age of eighty-two years. Bud graduated from Michigan Valley High School with the class of 1942. He was a board member of School District #287. Bud was totally dedicated to his family and loved all their family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren. Next to his family, he not only 'enjoyed' farming but was very proud of his farming career. On April 9, 1949, Frank was united in marriage with Avis Kramer in Ottawa, Kansas. She survives of their home. He is also survived by his son, Michael Campbell and his wife, Marlene, of Pomona, Kansas; three daughters, Vickie Sleichter and her husband, Gary, of Quenemo, Kansas, Cathy Criqui and her husband, Marty, of Pomona, Kansas, Tammy Campbell and her companion, Bowe Gribble, of Pomona, Kansas; brother, Charles Campbell of Topeka, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Crystal Curtis and her husband, Richard, Kary Sleichter, Traci Pearce and her husband, Tom, Eric Campbell, Erin Campbell, Jill Criqui, Jessica Criqui, Dakota Criqui; and six great-grandchildren, Lexis Campbell, Chelsey Curtis, Timothy Pearce, Austin Stewart, Alyson Beach, Anadora Seiff. He is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Vera Walburn, Louise Ramshaw, and Opal Pohlman. SERVICES: Memorial services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2006. The family will meet with friends following the service from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. INURNMENT: Private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery in Pomona, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorial contributions to Michigan Valley United Methodist Church or Franklin County Cancer Foundation, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
