Frank H. Medlin, age 82 of Paola, passed away Thurs., Dec. 30, 2010 at the Louisburg Care Center in Louisburg, Kansas. Memorials may be made to Olathe Hospice. Frank was born June 2, 1928 in Marshville, Missouri to Jasper and Cella Cook Medlin. At the age of 3 his mother passed away and he was raised by Ida Medlin. He attended the Bucyrus schools and in 1946 enlisted in the US Army Air force where he served until being honorably discharged on Jan. 31, 1949. On Nov. 15, 1952 Frank was united in marriage to Peggy McKenzie in Paola, Kansas. Together they raised two sons and two daughters. Frank was employed with Delco Battery Plant in Olathe for over 30 years, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, his John Deere mower, traveling to Branson, working in his vegetable garden, KU Basketball, the Kansas City Chiefs, watching All-Star Wrestling, and spending time with family and friends. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Peggy of the home; sons, Earl Medlin and wife Darleen of Paola, Ron Medlin of Spring Hill; daughters, Carol Morarie of Wichita, and Susan Medlin of Paola; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and one brother, George Medlin of Olathe. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
