Frank E. Seibert

Frank E. Seibert, age 86, of Baldwin City, Kansas passed away Monday, February 6, 2023, at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday February 14, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ottawa, Kansas.

The Rosary will be said at 10:00 A.M., prior to mass.

Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Ottawa.

Frank was born October 12, 1936, in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Anthony and Margaret (Barsage) Seibert.

He lived in Baldwin City since 2020, moving there from Ottawa where he lived for 6 years. Frank also lived in Blue Grass, Iowa for 10 years.

Frank attended Galesburg High School in Galesburg, Illinois, where he earned his GED.

He was united in marriage to Donna Frey November 10, 1962 in Sterling, Illinois. She survives of the home.

He was a meat cutter for 40 years and worked many years for HyVee grocery store in Macomb, Illinois.

Frank was a United States Airforce veteran working to repair and maintain telephones and telegraphs. His service tour included Japan.

He was a member of Devine Mercy Catholic Church in Gardner, Kansas. Frank also attended Sacred Heart Church in Ottawa and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Frank enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and seven brothers.

Survivors include his wife Donna, children Andrew Seibert (Katherine) of Baldwin City, Angela Gurule (Charles) of Aurora, Colorado, Margaret Seibert of Davenport, Iowa and Monica Riesebieter (Jason) of DeWitt, Iowa; sister Marti Forsberg (David) of Palm Springs, California; grandchildren, Jennifer Larson (Eric), Alex Thornton (Susie), Shane Banks, Anthony Seibert, Hazel Seibert and Vincent Seibert; great grandchildren, Jordy, Alex, Mimi
