Frank was born on Oct. 2, 1942, in Kansas City, Missour,i to Frank T. III and Virginia McDonald Carpenter. Frank graduated from Scott City Kansas High School in 1960, and attended Kansas State University. He was united in marriage to Sharel Dutton, in 1963, and together they had two sons, and a daughter. This marriage later ended in a divorc,e in 1986. In 1963 he enlisted in the United States Navy, and was aboard the USS Interception, and was a Quarter Master, during the Vietnam War and received his honorable discharge in 1969. Frank worked for the Continental Can Corp. as an accountant in California, and was transfered to Lenexa, in 1976 , working there until the early 80"s. He then started to work for himself as a salesman for Omaha Steak Company, Amway, and a Synthetic oil Company, and currently was a bartender for the VFW in Paola. Frank was united in marriage to Linda Poole, in Paola, on Nov. 23, 1996. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Elks. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Carpenter. Survivors are his father, Frank Carpenter II, of Paola, wife, Linda, of Paola, dau., Kim Briggs, of Paola, son, Frank Carpenter IV, of Paola, son Kevin Carpenter, of Paola, step children, Loretta McCrackin, of Hillsdale, April Morgan, of Winsor, Mo., Troy Duncan of K.C. Mo., Amanda Lattimer, of Greely, Yvonne Calston, of Osawatomie, 7 grandchildren and many step grand children. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
