Forrest E. Ware, 84, of Greeley, Kansas died on Tuesday, March 31, 2009. He was born on Thursday, February 19, 1925, in Rosendale, Missouri. He was the son of Charles and Edna Ware. He moved from Kansas City to Greeley in 1972. Forrest graduated from high school in Kansas City, Missouri, with the class of 1942. He worked as a mechanic for Kansas City Power & Light Co. over thirty years, retiring in 1987. He served in the United States Navy as a Seaman First Class from June of 1943 to January of 1946, earning several commendations and medals including World War II Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal with one star, and Point System Discharge. He was a member of Lodge #305, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons of North Kansas City, Missouri; Miami Post #156, American Legion of Paola; and Kansas City Power & Light Union. On February 19, 1944, Forrest was united in marriage with Alma Lea Worth. They shared sixty-five years of marriage. She preceded him in death on Saturday, March 21, 2009. Survivors include: Daughter-Trenice L. Johnson & her husband, Rick, of Greeley, Kan. Son-Ron Ware & his wife, Pam, of Kansas City, Mo. Brother-Charles Ware of Tonganoxie, Kan. Sister-Ruth Reuhl of Indiana Grandchild-Scott Johnson of Wichita, Kan. Grandchild-Shannon Emert of Lane, Kan. Grandchild-David Johnson of Greeley, Kan. Grandchild-Kory Ware of Kansas City, Mo. Grandchild-Steve Ware of Hawaii Grandchild-Jennifer Ware Gt.Grandchildren-Nine Nieces, Nephews, Gt. Nieces & Nephews-Many He was preceded in death by: Wife-Alma L. Ware Father-Charles Ware Mother-Edna Ware Son-Stephen Ware Sister-Berniece Linden Brother-Howard Ware Brother-Jerry Ware SERVICES: Mr. Ware has been cremated and services will be held at a later date.
