Flo Ada Frost, 93, of Williamsburg, KS, died peacefully at her daughter’s home with loved ones on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. Private family services will be held later. Inurnment Monticello Cemetery, Shawnee, KS, will be held later. Flo was born August 18, 1928, in Dunnegan, MO, the daughter of James and Jewell (Cushman) Campbell. She lived in Kansas City, KS, sixty-six years. She graduated from Fair Play Missouri High School with the Class of 1946. Flo continued her education at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO, earning a teaching certificate. On January 28, 1950, Flo was united in marriage to Billy Frost in Dunnegan, MO. They were married 66 years before Billy died in 2016. Throughout her lifetime Flo had several occupations including teaching in a one-room schoolhouse near Stockton, MO in the mid-1940’s; American Hereford Association, Kansas City, MO as a clerical worker in the late 1940’s; Benson Manufacturing, Kansas City, MO as a bookkeeper and later manufacturing aircraft parts in the early to mid-1950’s; McDonalds Restaurant in Mission, KS for seven years; and Wyandotte County M.R.G.B. in Kansas City, KS in the payroll department and later as bookkeeper for nine years, retiring in 1987. She was a former member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Dunnegan, MO. Flo enjoyed custom sewing and alterations, making quilts and doll clothes, reading, crafts, coloring cards and pictures. She also enjoyed singing and in her early years sang over the radio. Above all, Flo loved her family and grandchildren and the time they spent together. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers J.G. Campbell and John Campbell, and son-in-law Gary Kettler. Survivors include children, James Frost (Shirley Mathes) of Lecompton, KS, Sondra Kettler of Williamsburg, KS, and Marcella Frost-Hunziker (Luke) of Princeton, KS; sisters-in-law, Jean Campbell of Humansville, MO and Florence Campbell of Shawnee, KS; seven grandchildren, Tiffany Downing (Bill), Elizabeth Knaup (Kenny), Jaclyn Kettler (Cook Jones), Sarah Thomas (Geoff), Chris Hunziker (Kim), Katie Wilkerson (Wes Prue), and Ashley Mathes (Tyler); nine great grandchildren and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
