Evelyn Lohaus

Evelyn Marie Parks Myers Lohaus passed away on January 17, 2018 at Life Care Center of Osawatomie. Evelyn was born on February 28, 1934 at Holliday, Kansas to Norwood Samuel and Pearl Lewis Parks. She was one of eight children. She grew up in Morris, Kansas. Evelyn married Edgar Louis Myers on July 16, 1949 at Kansas City, Kansas. To this union was born two sons, David Leigh and Danny Eugene. Danny died at the age of 10 weeks and is buried at Maple Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, Kansas. After moving to the Paola area, they adopted an infant daughter, Chrystal Louise. Edgar was killed in a motorcycle accident on October 1, 1984 and is buried at the Paola Cemetery. On February 28, 1986, she married Walter Herman Lohaus and became the step-mother to his step-children. Her lifetime occupation was mother/household keeper. She worked at King Radio for 18 years as an assembler and later worked at Garmin in Olathe from where she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son Danny; husbands Edgar and Walter; brothers George, Donald “Pete”, Charles, Billy, Arthur; and sister Sarah. She is survived by son David; daughter Chrystal; step-daughter Marlene Wallace; grandchildren Brian, Heather, Randy, Troy, Patricia, David, Jr. and Angela; step-grandchildren, Robb, Jeff, Bryan, Stewart, and Tom; brother Howard Parks; as well as many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 22, 2018 at Dengel and Son Mortuary, 305 N. Pearl, Paola, Kansas. Visitation will precede service at 1:00 p.m. Burial at Paola Cemetery.
