Evelyn Esther Foushee

Evelyn Esther Foushee, 89, Ottawa, died Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010, at the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa. She was born July 30, 1920, in Tulsa, Okla., to James Robert and Merton Merle (Condit) Hutchison. She was a Franklin County resident since the late 1930s, moving from Pampa, Texas. She was a homemaker. She also worked in production for Parmalee in the 1980s and in assembly for King Radio, both of Ottawa. She was a supporter of Bible Baptist Church and member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5901 Auxiliary of Ottawa. She married Bobbie Dale Foushee Sept. 28, 1940, in Tulsa, Okla. He preceded her in death Sept. 16, 2001. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Shaffer and her husband, Larry, Williamsburg; two brothers, Lester Lee Hutchison and his wife, Marge, Princeton, Homer Lee Hutchison and his wife, Norma, Mt. Vernon, Ohio; three grandchildren, Tamera Renee Bowyer, Lorrie Beth Leathers and Penny Mitche-lle Foushee New; six great-grandchildren, Keith Alvin Bergkamp, Heather Miche’le Staley, Matthew Dilan Eugene Leathers, Cody Wayne New, Nicholas Dean New and Tyler James New; five great-great grandchildren, Kolsyn Alan Bergkamp, Kyler Alvin Bergkamp, Kayden Anthony Bergkamp, Morgan Renee Staley and Walker Wayne New. She is also preceded in death by his parents, James Robert Hutchison and Merton Merle (Condit) Hutchison; an infant daughter, Virginia Lee Foushee; four brothers, Warren Basil Hutchison, George Walter Hutchison, Jimmy Hutchison and Franklin Theodore Hutchison; four sisters, Lulu May Myers, Ida Belle Hutchison, Fern Eve Webster and Dorothy Louise Mendenhal. Friends may pay their respects from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday to the service hour. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Ottawa.
