Eva Mae Mount

Eva Mae Mount, age 80, of Miami County, died on March 24, 2025, at Louisburg Health Care and Rehab Center in Louisburg, Kansas.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the Louisburg United Methodist Church, 249 N Metcalf Road, Louisburg, Kansas 66053. Final resting place will be the Bucyrus Cemetery.

Eva Mae was born on February 9, 1945, in Paola, Kansas.

Eva attended grade school in Bucyrus, Kansas, and graduated from Louisburg High School with the class of 1963. She later attended Pittsburg State University where she obtained a bachelor’s of nursing degree, graduating in 1983.

Eva worked for many years as nurse at the University of Kansas Hospital, Overland Park Regional Medical, Gardner Medical, and finally Olathe Medical Center, where she specialized in helping babies in the NICU (She too was premature birth).

Eva was known as a generous and caring person who loved her family and animals. She took great pride in her work with 4-H and enjoyed traveling with her parents (Red Dale Camping Group) and their many fishing trips.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mabel Mount, and is survived by several cousins (Kansas, Texas, Idaho, Ohio, and several other states) and many many friends.

A special “Thank You” to the Louisburg Health Care and Prairie Wind Hospice for the loving care that she received.
