Eunice F. "Sissy" Lantz

Eunice Fern “Sissy” Lantz, age 100, of Princeton, Kansas, died Friday, July 15, 2011, at Ottawa Retirement Village, Ottawa, Kansas. She was born on Monday, June 5, 1911, in Princeton, Kansas, the daughter of Walter E. Lloyd and Nora Mae (Henderson) Lloyd - Witt. Eunice was a lifelong Princeton, Kansas resident with the exception of about six years living in California, Washington and Nebraska. She attended Victory Rural Grade School and Princeton High School. She also graduated from Cosmetology School in Dodge City, Kansas. She was a seamstress at H.D. Lee of Ottawa and was a beautician at Professional Beauty Shop and Ella's Beauty Salon. She also styled hair for the residents of Cedar House and Crestview Nursing Homes in Ottawa. She was a member of the Princeton Christian Church. On March 8, 1930, Eunice was united in marriage with E.M. ‘Abe’ Lantz at Olathe, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1959. She is survived by her Daughter-Marian A. McCleary and her husband, Tim, Pomona, KS Brother- Robert J. Lloyd and his wife, Marilyn, Penn Valley,CA Grandchildren- Seven Great-grandchildren- Eighteen Great-great-grandchildren- Twenty She was preceded in death by her Husband- E.M. “Abe” Lantz Daughter- Gloria (Lantz) Chmidling Granddaughter- Deanna Garcia Grandson- M.A. Butch Bronson Mother- Nora Mae (Henderson) Lloyd - Witt Father- Walter E. Lloyd Sister- Irene Lloyd Sister- Zelma Lloyd Brother- Lowell Lloyd Brother- Warren Lloyd Brother- Hobart Lloyd SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Princeton Christian Church at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2011. IN STATE: Mrs. Lantz will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday. CEMETERY: Princeton Cemetery in Princeton, Kansas.
