Eulah was a lifelong resident of Olpe, Kansas, moving to Ottawa in 2004. Following high school, Eulah graduated from Tulsa (Oklahoma) Business College. She was a homemaker. In the late 1940`s, she worked at Steffes Meat Locker in Olpe as a meat cutter. She was also secretary and office manager for Lyon County Farm Bureau for fifteen years in the 1960`s and 1970`s. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olpe and the Altar Society; Past Matron and 50-year member of Miriam Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Emporia; Republican Women; Cosmopolitan Study Club; Kansas Cowbelles; Royal Neighbors of America; American Legion Auxiliary; Floralore Garden Club; Flying Needles; Happy Homemakers; and co-author of Olpe Heritage Book. On April 18, 1930, Eulah was united in marriage with William E. Rigsby. He preceded her in death on June 6, 1972. SERVICES: A Funeral Mass will be held from St. Joseph Church in Olpe at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2007, where a Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, followed by visitation at 7:30. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Rigsby at the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa from 5:00 to 9:00 Thursday evening, May 10, where the family will meet with friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. CEMETERY: Cremation will follow services with inurnment at Maplewood Memorial Lawn, Emporia, Kansas, at a later date. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to St. Joseph School or Olpe Methodist Church, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
