Eula Mae Wadkins, 95, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Richmond Healthcare & Rehabilitation. Family will meet with friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Funeral services will immediately follow. Interment Highland Cemetery, Ottawa Eula was born March 18, 1923, in Olivet, Kansas, the daughter of Raymond and Florence (Conklin) Crawford. She moved from Olivet at the age of 14 to Pomona for a brief time. In 1937, Eula moved to Ottawa. Eula was united in marriage to Aethel “Jiggs” Wadkins June 30, 1939 in Mound City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on September 21, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carolyn Currant and husband Alvin; siblings, Loraina Crawford, Marvin Crawford, Thelma Brenner, and Alvin Crawford; and grandchildren, Kim Hale, Tammy Griffin, Ronnie Currant, Doyle Currant, and Cathy Currant. Survivors include her three children, Bob Wadkins and wife Joann of Richmond, Shirley Burnett and husband Billie of Ottawa, and Darrell Wadkins also of Ottawa; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and twenty-five great-great-grandchildren. She was a devoted homemaker and worked at Willis Nursery 5 years. Eula also worked as a sewing machine operator at H.D. Lee for 28 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she enjoyed working with senior citizens. The family suggests memorial contributions to Crossroads Hospice c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
