Eugene Fredrick “Gene” Hart, age 89, of Pomona, Kansas died Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Village Manor Nursing Home in Ottawa. He was born on Thursday, August 12, 1920, south of Williamsburg, Kansas, the son of Albert Fredrick and Bonnie Sarah (Mozley) Hart. Gene lived south of Williamsburg, Kansas until 1949, moving to his present address six miles south of Pomona, Kansas. He graduated from Williamsburg High School with the class of 1938 and attended one semester at Kansas State (KSAC). Gene was a lifelong farmer. He was a life member of Anchor Lodge #224, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, of Williamsburg, Kansas. On November 6, 1949, Gene was united in marriage with Beulah Elizabeth Wilhite in Ottawa. She preceded him in death December 22, 1983. He is survived by his: Son-Fred Hart of Pomona, Kansas; Sister-Ava Theobald of Hillside, Illinois; Sister-Murney Showalter of Ottawa, Kansas; Grandchild-Janelle Hart; Grandchild-Jarod Hart and a Grandchild-Jennifer Hart. He is preceded in death by his Wife-Beulah Elizabeth (Wilhite) Hart; Parents-Albert Fredrick and Bonnie Sarah (Mozley) Hart and a Son-David Lance Hart SERVICES: Family will meet with friends for Graveside Services at Mt. Hope Cemetery, east of Williamsburg, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 26, 2010. IN STATE: Mr. Hart will lie in state from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Casket will remain closed. CEMETERY: Mt.
