Ethel Virginia Robertson Kramer, 92 years 9 months and one day, departed this earth and ascended to Heaven on February 22, 2025 where her Angel wings were ready. Ethel was born in Osawatomie, Kansas to James Monroe Robertson, and Geneva Alnora (Bliss) Robertson on May 21, 1932. She graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1950. Ethel met the love of her life, Willis Herbert Kramer on July 15, 1949, at a Honky Tonk called Sloppy Joe's, in Paola, Kansas. Ethel and Willis joined their hands in marriage on November 24, 1949. They enjoyed 70 years 4 months and 1 week of wedded bliss and raised five children together, hand in hand.
Ethel was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willis Herbert Kramer, her youngest daughter Tina Elaine Kramer, her parents, Geneva Alnora (Bliss) Robertson Mai, James Monroe Robertson, brother James (Lavina) Robertson, sisters Maxine (Jim) McRoberts and Lois Jean Robertson, and brothers and sisters-in-law Richard Rickman, Richard (Marion) Kramer, Floyd (Dorothy) Kramer, Gene (Lorraine) Kramer, Clara (Cecil) Green, Charles (Betty) Kramer, and Bertha Kramer.
Ethel is survived by her son, Wayne (Candy) Kramer, daughters Kathy (Walt) Bigham, Sandy (Kevin) Lewis, Debbie (Jim) Bauck, brother Jerry (Margaret) Mai, sister Lenora Rickman, three brothers-in-law Perry Kramer, John (Cherrie) Kramer, and Glenn Kramer, nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Ethel deeply loved her family. They were everything to her. She enjoyed painting, sketching, knitting, crocheting, and traveling. Ethel donated numerous crocheted or knitted baby afghans to random people, often making the recipient cry. She also donated many knitted stocking caps to deployed soldiers. She was a very generous person, caring very little for material things.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
