Ethel M. Richardson, age 98, of Princeton, Kansas, died Sunday, October 31, 2010, at Richmond Care Center in Richmond, Kansas. She was born on Tuesday, November 14, 1911, in Soldier, Kansas, the daughter of George Harvey and Alma (Gilliland) Peck. She grew up in Soldier, moving to the Latimer district east of Ottawa, while in grade school. She later moved to the Boyd area near Pomona, and Ottawa following her marriage. Ethel graduated from Pomona High School. She was a homemaker. Prior to marriage, she taught school. She and her husband owned and operated Dairy Crème in Pomona, and she later worked as a receptionist for Dr. Wollen in Ottawa. She was a member of North Baptist Church of Ottawa, where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and was active in the Women’s Society. She was also a member of Happy Hour’s Sewing Club. On Saturday, March 12, 1938, Ethel was united in marriage with Earl L. Richardson in Baldwin, Kansas. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1999. Suriviors include: Daughter,Peggy Humiston and her husband, Dean, of Princeton, Kansas; Daughter,Patricia Heinsohn of Tucson, Arizona; Grandson,Robert Heinsohn and his wife, Terri, of Korea; Granddaughter,Rebecca Moore and her husband, Clancy, of Ottawa, Kansas; Granddaughter,Deborah Horne of Richmond, Kansas; Grandson,Jeff Reekie and his wife, Christine, of Rantoul, Kansas; Gt.Granddaughter,Tiffany Oldham and her husband, Joe, of Gardner, Kansas; Gt.Granddaughter,Ashley Reekie of Rantoul, Kansas; Gt.Grandson,Travis Reekie of Rantoul, Kansas; Gt.Granddaughter,Melissa Oram and her husband, Sam, of Joplin, Missouri; Gt.Grandson,Matthew Horne of Quapaw, Oklahoma and and five Gt.Gt.Grandchildren: Austin, Abby, & Aden Oldham Cooper & Maggie Heinsohn. She is preceded in death by, her husband,Earl L. Richardson; parents,George Harvey and Alma (Gilliland) Peck; grandson,Christopher Heinsohn and a gt.grandson,Clayton Moore. SERVICES: Funeral Services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2010. IN STATE: Mrs. Richardson will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and after 8:00 a.m. Friday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00, prior to services. CEMETERY: Woodlawn Cemetery in Pomona, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorial contributions to North Baptist Church or Camp Chippewa, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
