Erma Wills

Erma L. Wills, 82 of Paola, Kansas passed away Sun., Nov. 28, 2010 at Olathe Medical Center. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 12:00 p.m., Wed., Dec. 1 at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Paola; services will follow at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Miami County Cancer Foundation. Erma was born July 26, 1928 in Somerset, Kansas to Harmon N. and Elsie I. (Scott) Quincy. She completed the 9th grade at Somerset school. On Feb. 8, 1947 she was united in marriage to James J. Wills, to this union two sons were born. Erma went on to work at a coat factory and at Patterson"s Grocery on the east side of the Paola town square. She enjoyed playing golf, card games, bowling, traveling, visiting casinos, cooking for her family, growing her tomatoes, sewing, and traveling to Texas in their camper trailer for the winter months. She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Della Irene Wiseman; and a granddaughter, Dawn Wills. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Wills of the home; two sons, Rick Wills and wife Barbara, and Gary Wills and wife Janice, all of Olathe, KS; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
