Eric Sean Chapman

Eric Sean Chapman, 39, of Pomona, Kansas, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa, Kansas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Muncie Cemetery, Franklin County, Kansas. Eric was born on Tuesday, November 13, 1973 on Fort Devin’s Military Base in Harvard, Massachusetts. He was the son of the late Stephen Lloyd Chapman and Sara (Church) Pabst. He was a lifelong resident of Franklin County, Kansas. Eric graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1992. On July 25, 2003 Eric was united in marriage with Misty Branam in Ottawa, Kansas. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his three children, daughters, Bailea Marie Chapman of the home, and Mercedez Chapman of Melvern, Kansas; son, Eric Chapman of Melvern; mother, Sara Pabst and step-father, Doug of Pomona; two brothers, Taylor Larsh and fiancé, Sheena, and Dalton Pabst both of Pomona; two sisters, Stephanie Chapman of Pomona, and Jennifer Chapman of Topeka, Kansas; maternal grandmother, Clio Church of Pomona; paternal grandmother, Jewell Chapman of Ottawa; aunt & uncle, Sandi and Joe King of Pomona, and uncle, Jeff Church of Pomona; first cousins, Brandon and Dustin Clary both of Pomona; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Chapman; brother, Caleb Larsh; grandfather, Ralph Church; paternal grandfather, Kenneth Chapman. Eric worked for DZ Atlantic Company building scaffolding for the past five years. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed working on cars, electronics and listening to music.
