Emma Marie Corn

Emma Marie Corn, infant daughter of Steven and Nicole (Paige) Corn, was born on Thursday, July 3, 2014, in Lawrence, Kansas, and passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at the age of twenty-six days. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 1, 2014, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Interment Highland Cemetery Baby land, Ottawa, Kansas. She will be forever cherished in the hearts of those who survive her including her parents and brother, Hayden Jack Corn of the home in Ottawa; paternal grandparents, Timothy and Kimber Corn of Ottawa; maternal grandparents, Philip Paige of Blue Rapids, Kansas and Karen McDaneld of Topeka; paternal great grandmother, Harriet Jones of Omaha, Nebraska; maternal great grandparents, Wilbur and Vera Paige of Blue Rapids and Joanne Pottberg of Topeka; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Dear Sweet Emma, God looked around his garden and He found an empty place. He looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering. He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb, so He closed your weary eyelids and whispered, “Peace be thine.” It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn’t go alone.
