Ellsworth E. Burnett, age 77, of rural Parker, Kansas, died March 19, 2019 at the Olathe Health Hospice House, Olathe, Kansas. Ellsworth was born February 10, 1942 at Princeton, Kansas. He was the oldest of three sons born to Clarence and Helen (Brumfield) Burnett. He grew up in Rantoul and graduated from Rantoul High School in 1960. He was united in marriage to Diana Hastert on August 24, 1963 at Paola, Kansas. They became the parents of three children Edie, Jody, and Susan. They made their home in Rantoul. Diana preceded him in death on January 6, 1995. On December 9, 1997, Clara Stewart and Ellsworth were married at Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home at Parker, Kansas. To this union five children were brought into the family Jimmy, Randy, Terry, Robby, and Tammy. Ellsworth worked at Mode 'O Day in Osawatomie helping with stocking and unloading delivery trucks. He then went to work for BEHM in Osawatomie as a welder. Ellsworth became a member of the Boilermaker's Union and worked various locations through the union including DeSoto Army Ammunition Plant and LaCygne Power Plant. The last 10 years, he worked at the Osawatomie State Hospital as a plumber. He retired in 2003. Ellsworth was an outsdoorsman. He enjoyed, hunting, fishing, horses, and raising Long Horn cattle. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Diana, two brothers Leonard and C. J. Burnett, and one grandson Christopher. He is survived by his wife Clara of the home; children Edie Diediker (Keith) of rural Paola, Jody Burnett of Parker, and Susan Moylan of LaCygne; step-children Jimmy Stewart (Shirley) of Centerville, TN, Randy Stewart (Jeanne) of Drexel, MO, Terry Stewart (Jane) of Belton, MO, Robby Stewart (Cherrie) of Lane, and Tammy Riggs (Josh) of Parker; 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
