Ellen Sue Seuferling

Ellen "Sue" Seuferling, age 65, died Friday, June 20, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 21, 1949 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of August "Bud" and Evalyn (Poe) Pope. The family moved back to Miami County when Sue was eight years old after living first in Somerset then moving to Louisburg. She graduated from Louisburg High School with the class of 1967. She was united in marriage to Ken Seuferling on September 20, 1969. To this union two sons were born. Sue was the long time city clerk for the city of Louisburg before being promoted to chief financial officer. She started her career with the city in April of 1987. She will be greatly missed at City Hall. Sue loved to read, play golf and spend time with her grandsons and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Evalyn Pope; three brothers, Ronald, Darrell and Rick Pope and her mother and father in-law Thresa and George Seuferling. Sue is survived by her husband, Ken; son, Michael and wife Lesley Seuferling; son, John and wife Stephanie Seuferling; two grandsons, Blake and Cy Seuferling, along with many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Kansas City Hospice House or to the Miami County Cancer Foundation. Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 606 S.
