Ella Mcdaniel

Ella Delila (George) McDaniel, age 97, entered into rest August 2, 2018 at Life Care Center of Osawatomie. Ella was born December 11, 1920 to Frank and Emma George at Orion, Kansas. She lived in western Kansas in her early life eventually moving to Miami County where she lived and raised her family. She enjoyed watching the Royals, loved to travel with family members, visit with family and friends, and talk about the ‘Good ole Days’, and oh – she loved to dance and had a crush on George Strait! Ella was a hard worker 82 years of her life, not counting farm work and helping to raise her younger siblings. Before retiring from KFC, she was employed at the Osawatomie State Hospital 30 years, Oakley Kansas Hospital and various nursing facilities in Miami County. She was a wonderful caring lady throughout her years and will be missed. She is now in the Lord’s hands with her siblings. Ella was preceded in death by her husband Rufus McDaniel; parents Frank and Emma George, 4 brothers, 3 sisters and several family members. She is survived by her three daughters, Carol Williams of Linn Valley, KS, Karen Marks and husband Dennis of Lebanon, MO and Glenda Kampling and husband Richard of Lebanon, MO; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
