Elizabeth Zelewski

Elizabeth Zelewski, 79 years old, passed away peacefully June 26th, 2022, after battling a lengthy illness. Reunited with her true love in heaven Charles Altman, Sr., her son David Altman and several other family members. Private celebration of life services will be held later. Elizabeth was born December 13, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Vincent and Isabelle (Jolland) Zelewski. She lived most of her life in Brooklyn, before moving to Niagara Falls, New York; Gainesville, Florida and lastly Ottawa, Kansas, where she made her home. Elizabeth found the love of her life and was together with Charles Altman, Sr. for 20-plus years before he preceded her in death in 1985. A devoted homemaker and loving mother of 3 sets of twins, Charles Altman-Santillo, David Altman, Edward Altman, Glen Altman, Norma Jean (Altman) Hernandez, and Thomas Altman; many siblings, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elizabeth was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and loved keeping a tidy home. Elizabeth was very thoughtful and enjoyed giving with the little that she had. Elizabeth will be greatly missed each day but finally at peace.
