Elizabeth S. "Sue" Pratt

Elizabeth Susan Pratt, 71, of Wellsville, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Olathe Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 5:30 P.M., Friday, November 19, 2021, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, followed by family visitation. Sue was born January 24, 1950, in Midland Texas, the daughter of Donald and Loise (Horne) Henricks. She was a near lifelong Ottawa, Kansas resident, graduating from Ottawa High School with the Class of 1969. On January 27, 1968, Sue was united in marriage to Michael A. Pratt at Ottawa. They shared 53 years of marriage. Mike survives of the home. Sue was employed at Walmart in the late 1980’s for several years as a cashier. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Memorial Post 5901 of Ottawa; and Aerie Lodge 2700, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary also of Ottawa. Sue enjoyed sewing, crafting, gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Donald Worth, Jr., Donald Louis Henricks, and Milburn “Mack” Henricks. Survivors also include four children, Tracy S. Clement (Douglas) of Rantoul, Mandy D. Pratt of Wellsville, Matthew S. Pratt of Wellsville, and Michael L. Pratt also of Wellsville; two brothers, Richard Henricks (Genia) of Ottawa, and Alfred Henricks (Molly) of Lawrence; sister-in-law Janice Henricks of Ottawa; seven grandchildren, Thomas Clement, Bryan Clement, Jered Clement, Elizabeth Jacoby, Meagan Hutchinson, Damien Pratt, and Serena Frith; and eleven great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions to VFW Auxiliary Post 5901 c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
