Elinor Kay Johnson, age 69, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Louisburg Health Care and Rehabilitation.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Dengel & Son Mortuary – Louisburg Chapel, 1 Aquatic Drive, Louisburg KS 66053. Funeral Service will be held immediately following the visitation at 3:00 p.m.
Elinor was born on Saturday, June 6, 1953. She was the fourth of five children of William and Dorothy (Lovercamp) Blosser.
At 27 years old she had a daughter, Kristin. She later met and married Michael Johnson, who blessed her with 3 more children. She loved them as her own. Jason, Kristina and James. Her family then blessed her with 10 grandchildren. She loved them dearly.
Elinor was a fierce, independent, and strong spirited woman. She worked hard her entire life and in 2016 her hard work paid off and she retired from a career in manufacturing from Hans Rudolph in Shawnee, Kansas. She enjoyed life after retirement by attending family get-togethers, going on shopping trips with friends, and buying plants, even though she did not always have a green thumb. She loved to buy Christmas decorations. She always had enough to decorate an entire neighborhood or fill an entire U-Haul truck. She never met a cat, dog or horse that she didn’t want to bring home. She often told stories of the horse she had as a child. Her favorite evening activity was to cuddle up on the couch with a blanket, a good book and her very loved dogs.
Elinor was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy Blosser, three sisters, Mary Robertson, Dorothy Eisen and Joann Cartright, two nieces Susie Whiteman and Melissa Wilensky, and her grandson Ethan Johnson.
She is survived by her four children, Kristin (Tim) Link, Jason (Shena) Johnson, Kristina (Victor) Meza, and James Johnson, brother Richard Blosser, five nephews, Jim Farmer, Bobby Farmer, Carl Farmer, Johan Cartright and Tom Robertson, and nine grandchildren, Haven Link, Xander Link, Micah Link, Braydon Johnson, Jaydon Johnson, LaRea Johnson, Tabatha Meza, Nathan Meza, and Michael Johnson.
