Eleanor L. Beene

Eleanor L. Beene, age 87, of Paola, Kansas, passed away January 31, 2021 at Country Club Estates in Paola. Eleanor was born at Lenexa, Kansas on March 16, 1933, the daughter of John and Ora (Floray) Blume. She was married to William "Charlie" Beene on June 7, 1964 at the Lutheran Church in Lenexa. She was a member of the Paola Lutheran Church and Miami County Trail Riders. She enjoyed fishing and horse back riding. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings Howard Blume, Orville Blume, John Blume, Letha Otte, Raymond Blume, Donald Blume, Kenneth Blume, and Glenn Blume. She is survived by her brother Paul Blume (Jewel) of Spring Hill, Kansas; sister Anna Jean Lingier of Hay Market, VA; sister-in-law Bernadette Blume of Olathe; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A private burial was held at Lenexa Cemetery. Memorials are to the Paola First Lutheran Church and can be sent in care of Dengel & Son Mortuary-Crematory, 305 N. Pearl St., Paola, KS, 66071.
