Eldon Brockus

Eldon Leroy Brockus, 68, of Topeka, Kansas died Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Funeral Services will be held at Richmond United Methodist Church, 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 6, 2013. Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Brockus at Dengel & Son Mortuary from 1:00 P.M. Sunday, to the service hour where the family will meet with friends from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. Sunday. Interment Richmond Cemetery, Richmond, Kansas. Eldon was born on Monday, September 25, 1944, the son of Richard Merle and Agnes Lavina (Morris) Brockus. He lived in Topeka moving from Ottawa and Richmond. He attended Princeton Schools in Princeton, Kansas. Eldon was married to Janice Green. They later divorced. He then married Patricia Lambert. She survives of the home. Also surviving are his daughter, Ayla Smith of Topeka; grandchildren, Blaze and Jada; three sisters, Phyllis Rossman and husband Art of Richmond, Janice McIntosh and companion Buddy Moore of Princeton, and Cathy Parsons of Princeton; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Agnes Brockus; infant brother, Neil Brockus; and brother-in-law, Dennis Parsons. Eldon worked for Dave’s Auto Sales, Topeka; Ottawa Taxi Service and Dunbar Farms, Richmond. He was a member of Richmond United Methodist Church.
