Elnora Mae Davenport, age 91 of Ottawa, Kansas, died Thursday, February 21, 2013, at her home. She was born on Tuesday, April 26, 1921, in Ogden, Kansas, the daughter of Sydney and Myrtle (Wood) Hamilton. Elnora lived in Ottawa from 1955 to 1961. She lived in Manhattan, Topeka, Junction City, Kingman, and Ft. Collins, Colorado before returning to Ottawa in May 2008. She attended school in Ogden, Kansas, Michigan and Manhattan, Kansas. On October 26, 1938 Elnora was united in marriage with Gilbert Davenport, Sr. in Manhattan, Kansas. He preceded her death in 2006. Elnora was a devoted lifelong homemaker. She was a member of the Methodist Church and former member of the Rebecca Lodge. She is survived by her Daughter – Linda Woods and her husband Bill of Ottawa, Kansas; Grandchildren – Jeff Woods, Betsy McCrea and her husband Mark, Robynn Woods, Stephanie Milota and her husband Todd, Trey Morgan and his wife Jessie, Bradley Barker and his wife Becki, Christopher Barker, and Jeremy Barker; Sixteen great-grandchildren and One great-great-grandchild due in August. She is preceded in death by her Husband – Gilbert Davenport, Sr. Son – Gilbert Davenport, Jr. Daughter – Paula Seiler. SERVICES: Cremation is planned. Graveside Inurnment Service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday, March 15, 2013, at Sunset Cemetery, Manhattan, Kansas. VISITATION: Family will meet with friends following the Graveside Service at 12:30 P.M. at Union Pacific Depot, Manhattan, Kansas.
