Elaine T. Woosley, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017, at the age of 86 years at Richmond Healthcare in Richmond, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Family will meet with friends from 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at the mortuary. Interment Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Kansas Elaine was born Saturday, September 27, 1930, in Springfield, Massachusetts, the daughter of Levi and Yvonne (Mercure) Brueno. Elaine was united in marriage to James Woosley December 13, 1947, in Springfield, Massachusetts. He survives of the home. Other survivors include her six daughters, Sally Yon of Feeding Hills, Massachusetts, Donna Smith of Westphalia, Jane Geiler and husband Robert of Princeton, Elaine Seward and husband Chuck of Ottawa, Cindy Davis and husband Lonnie of Princeton, and Laurie Johnson and husband Dan of Garnett; two sons, William Woosley of Garnett, and Thomas Woosley and wife Sheila of Dardanelle, Arkansas; and sister, Jean Condino of Springfield, Massachusetts. With the love mom had for her children, she raised a granddaughter as one of her own, Jennifer Chambers and husband Bruce of Burlington. She is survived by 27 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Woosley; two brothers, Ronald and Leo Brueno; sister, Doreen Donnelley; two sons-in-law, Charles Yon and George Smith, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Karen Woosley. Elaine worked many years as a seamstress. She also worked at Whittaker Cable Company in St. Joseph, Missouri. Elaine spent her free time crocheting, knitting and was an avid reader. One of the highlights of the grandchildren were the “grandma booties” she made for them.
