Edward Behm

Edward G. "Ed" Behm, 48, of Fontana, Kansas passed away February 19, 2013 at Olathe Medical Center. Edward was born July 25, 1964 to Raymond L. and Thelma A. (Schmitt) Behm in Kansas City, Missouri. He married Carmen Harrington on May 25, 1985 in Paola, Kansas. He worked in road construction with McAnany Construction Company of Shawnee as a heavy equipment mechanic. He was in the National Guard for 20 years and was a member of Local 101 Operating Engineers, Knights of Columbus, and Center Fire Gun Club of Olathe. Edward was involved in many sporting activities. He was a softball coach, a basketball referee, and enjoyed watching his daughters" sporting events. His hobbies included model railroads and collecting eagles. Edward was very much a family person and liked spending time with his family. He never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother LeRoy. He is survived by his wife Carmen of the home; daughters Pamela and husband Luke Johnston of Amoret, MO, Kari, Samantha, and Hannah Behm all of Fontana, KS; sister Karen Brucks of Grandview, MO; brother Paul Behm of Olathe, KS; and grandchildren Addison and Cash.
