Edna M. (Austin) Bradley, age 100, formerly of Paola, Kansas passed away peacefully September 14, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Edna was born February 14, 1918, the fourth child of Ethel & Claude Austin at Paola, Kansas. She attended Baker School and graduated from Paola High School with the class of 1936. She worked at the Greyhound Bus Terminal in Kansas City until she married Harvey Bradley in January of 1942. They had three daughters and one son, Carol, Shari, Nancy and Earl. Edna worked at various jobs in Kansas City, Missouri, including 8 years at Montgomery Ward and two years at Don’s Pharmacy. After Mr. Bradley retired in 1977, they moved to Pomme De Terre and returned to Paola in 1980. There she was employed at Walmart Pharmacy for 5 years. In 1987, she joined the Foster Grandparent program of Paola until her retirement. Edna was preceded in death by her husband Harvey in 1996, her parents; daughter Carol; son Earl; three brothers Harold J. Austin, Walter Dean Austin, and Franklin Austin; and three sister, Doris Jean Eastland, Mildred McClelland Slawson, and Loveda G. McLemor Stepaniak. She is survived by her children Shari Dreher (Dick) of North Kansas City, MO and Nancy Montaleone (Jay) of North Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great-great granddaughters; and her brother Arthur Austin of Jacksonville, NC.
