Edith Josephine Schnoke

August 1, 1915 — October 30, 2004

Edith was a near lifelong resident of Ottawa, moving here in 1940 from the Garnett area. In 1997 she moved to Olathe. She graduated from Garnett High School. Edith worked as Deputy Register of Deeds for Franklin County, retiring in 1984. She also worked at Ogg`s Market in Ottawa as a Cashier for many years. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Sarah Circle of the church, O.K. Extension Homemakers Unit, T.O.P.S., an inactive member of Beta Sigma Phi, and a charter member of Tot to Teen Club, all of Ottawa. On September 2, 1942, Edith was united in marriage with Eldon F. `Buss` Schnoke at Lawrence, Kansas. He preceded her in death August 6, 1996. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2004. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Rev. Henry Roberts, Jr. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Schnoke after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Dengel & Son Mortuary until service hour, where the family will meet with friends 7:30 to 8:30 Tuesday evening. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery in Ottawa, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to Westminster Presbyterian Church or St. Luke`s Hospice, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
