Edith A. Moser, 95, of Warr Acres, Oklahoma, formerly of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014, at Grace Living Center, Bethany, Oklahoma. Family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2014, at Central Cemetery, Pomona. Edith was born Saturday, July 19, 1919, in Franklin County, Kansas, the daughter of Calvin and Marie (Chambers) Duvall. She grew up south of Pomona and graduated from Williamsburg High School with the class of 1937. Edith was united in marriage with Fred William Moser August 26, 1941, in Homewood, Kansas. He preceded her in death February 21, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Hazel Underwood, Mabel Justice and Martha Hull; and two brothers, Calvin Duvall, Jr. and Ralph Everman. Survivors include her sister, Donna Sauer; three children, Robert Moser of Purdy, Missouri, Sharon Braker and husband Roger of Warr Acres, Oklahoma, and Judy Young of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Childers and husband E.W., Arnold Braker, David Braker and wife Amy, Larissa Carter and husband Luke, Amber and Steven Michael Young; and four great grandchildren, Lydia and Penny Childers and Desiree and William Braker. In 1947, they moved to Iowa. They returned to Homewood in 1959, to the house they lived in at the time of their marriage and operated Moser Grocery Store. They moved to Ottawa in 1964. In 2012, she moved to Warr Acres to live with her daughter, Sharon. Edith worked as an assembler at Parmelee Industries for twenty-eight years, retiring in August 1990.
