Eddie L. Waddle, 81, of Williamsburg, Kansas, passed away Friday, December 22, 2017, at Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville, Missouri. Family will meet with friends from 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Antioch Cemetery, Homewood. Eddie was born October 6, 1936, in rural Lane, Kansas, the son of Floyd and Dorothy (Head) Waddle. He was a lifelong Franklin County resident living most of his life in Homewood. He attended Ottawa High School with the class of 1980. Eddie was united in marriage to Carol Conklin July 7, 1996 in Williamsburg, Kansas. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his five stepsons, Clifford Conklin, Clayton Conklin, Christopher Conklin, Curtis Conklin and Corey Conklin all of Ottawa; seven step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Dorothy Waddle; and sister, Leona Waddle. Eddie was employed as a spray painter for Ottawa Truck for 32 years, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed reading western books, fishing, tinkering in his shop, and family gatherings.
