Eddie Kueser

Eddie G. Kueser, 68, Louisburg, passed away June 22, 2016, at Louisburg Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on September 21, 1947 to Harold and Marjorie Kueser in Garnet, Kansas. His family moved to Louisburg when he was a young boy, and he has been a lifelong resident since then, attending school in both Louisburg and Wea. Eddie joined the National Guard in 1966. He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War, and was part of the Military Assistance Command (MAC V). While in the service he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Sharpshooter Badge. He was honorably discharged on December 13, 1969 as a Specialist 4th Class. He married Linda Maynard on December 5, 1970, and they had one daughter, Penny. The marriage ended in divorce in 1992. Eddie was a member of the Louisburg American Legion Post No. 250, and enjoyed gardening and going to dirt track races. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was survived by his daughter, Penny Kueser and grandson, Jacob Diaz of Prairie Village, Kansas, his ex-wife, Linda Kueser of Louisburg, KS; sister, Connie Baker (Eldon) of Sunrise Beach, Mo; brother, Ronald (Janet) of Osawatomie, KS; brothers, John (Cee), Melvin (Tish), sisters, Patricia Allen (Jake), and Kathy Elliott (Rick) all of Louisburg, KS, many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
