Drewcilla Craft was born on Wednesday, May 11, 1921, in Hartville, Missouri. She was the daughter of Clarence and Rema (Oliver) Farley. Drewcilla lived in Hartville, Missouri until moving to Kansas City, Missouri in 1941 and Ottawa in 1997, where she made her home until her death on Sunday, June 3, 2007, at the age of eighty-six years. She attended schools in Hartville. Drewcilla worked eighteen years in the 1950's and 1960's as a cake decorator at the lunch counter at Woolworth Department Store in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a member of Faith Mission Church in Kansas City, Missouri, serving as a church mother for many years. Drewcilla was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who greatly enjoyed spending time with her family. She also loved cooking, family gatherings and especially, reading her Bible and talking to God. Drewcilla was united in marriage with Roscoe Lee Duncan at Hartville, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1967. She is also preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Edward Farley, Vernon Farley, Clarence Farley, Jr., and Rudell Farley; sisters, Irene Farley and Jewell Farley; and an infant brother and sister. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Louise Collins of Ottawa; grandson, Leonard M. Collins; great granddaughter, Jordan Collins, of Ottawa, great grandsons, Isaac Collins and Aaron Collins, both of Ottawa; brothers, Eugene Farley and his wife, Pat, of Kansas City, Kansas, Frank Farley of Kansas City, Missouri, and Ray Farley and his wife, Earline, of Kansas City, Kansas; sister, Ceola Funston of Kansas City, Kansas; niece, Henrietta Huddleston of Las Vegas, Nevada, and several other nieces and nephews. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2007. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Rev. A.B. Walker, Bethany Chapel Baptist Church in Ottawa and Elder Willie Graham, Kansas City, Missouri. IN STATE: Mrs. Craft will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 P.M. Thursday, where the family will meet with friends from noon Friday to the service hour. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery.
