Dorothy Susan 'Dottie' Jameson was born March 7, 1916, in rural Lyndon, Kansas. She was the daughter of Charley D. and Nannie A. (Bayer) Kingsborough. She grew up in the Pomona, Kansas area. During World War II, she lived in Topeka and Moran, Kansas. Following her marriage, she moved to the Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas area, where she made her home until her death Wednesday, December 25, 2002, at the age of eighty-six years. Dottie graduated from Pomona High School in the 1920's and attended Arizona State University. In her early years, she was an operator for Topeka and Moran area phone companies. She later worked at Baldwin Ward of Ottawa as a bookkeeper. She also worked for Bennett's Creamery, which later became Mid-America Dairy, Ottawa, and was employed as an office worker at Skyhook in Ottawa until her retirement. She was a very active member of Calvary Baptist Church, Ottawa, and the Saturday Night Bus Ministry, which she especially enjoyed because of the children. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi and volunteer for the Arthritis Foundation. On March 15, 1941, Dottie was united in marriage with James Keith Jameson at Little Rock, Arkansas. He preceded her in death in 1974. She is also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Everett Kingsborough and Earl Kingsborough; and, sister, Margie Kingsborough. She is survived by her daughter, Fran Burkett and her husband, Jim, of Osage City, Kansas; sister, Eva M. Spencer of Eldorado, Kansas; sister-in-law, Juanita Kingsborough of Osage City; two grandchildren, Susan and James; and, two great grandchildren, Emilee and James. SERVICES: Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2002, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, Kansas. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Rev. William Weber. IN STATE: Mrs. Jameson will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 9:00 a.m. Friday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 2:00 to 4:00 Friday afternoon. CEMETERY: Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, Kansas. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Midland Hospice, Franklin County Arthritis Foundation, or Franklin County Cancer Foundation, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
