Dorothy Lee Commeree

Dorothy Lee (Beasley) Commeree, age 84, of Olathe, Kan., died Sunday, October 3, 2004, at Royal Terrace Nursing Home in Olathe, Kan. She was the daughter of the late H. Walter Beasley and the late Grace (Young) Beasley. Dorothy moved with her family to Franklin County, Kansas when she was ten years old. She moved into Ottawa when she was married and to Olathe in 1994. Dorothy attended school in Parsons, Kansas and graduated from Ottawa High School. She attended the Business College in Ottawa for two years. Dorothy worked as a sales clerk at Artinger`s Hardware in Ottawa from 1974 until 1975 and in 1976, started a day care center in her home, which she operated until retiring in 1994. Over the years, Dorothy belonged to several community clubs. On June 2, 1941, Dorothy was united in marriage with Joseph N. Commeree in Wichita, Kansas. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1974. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from Dengel & Son Mortuary 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2004. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Pastor Dan Oglesby. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Commeree after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at Dengel & Son Mortuary to service hour. CEMETERY: Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
