Dorothy Irene Hardin

Dorothy Irene Hardin, age 77, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010. She was born on Sunday, May 8, 1932, in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the daughter of Leslie and Marie (Ring) Stackhaus. She was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Kansas, moving to Ottawa in 2006. Dorothy was a homemaker. She was a member of West Side Church of Christ in Kansas City, Kansas. On December 8, 1951, Dorothy was united in marriage with Kenneth Hardin in Kansas City, Kansas. He survives of their home. She is survived by her: Husband-Kenneth Hardin of their home; Son-Daniel Hardin of Waverly, Kansas; Daughter-Emilia Hardin of Lawrence, Kansas; Sister-Susan Bolado of New Braunfels, Texas; Grandchild-Charity Rodrigues & her husband, Jason; Grandchild-Sarah Hardin; Grandchild-Victor Hardin; Grandchild-Kristianna Hardin; Grandchild-McKenzie Hardin; Gt.Grandchild-Damian Hance; Pet Dog-Peanut. She is preceded in deth by her: Father-Leslie Stackhaus; Mother-Marie (Ring) Stackhaus; Brother-Bill Stackhaus; Sister-Hank Humphrey; Gt.Granddaughter-Raina Rodriguez. SERVICES: Funeral Services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2010. The family will meet with friends following the service. Following services and visitation, cremation is planned. IN STATE: Mrs. Hardin will lie in state at Dengel & Son Mortuary from 3:00 p.m. Wednesday to service hour.
