Dorma Gibson

Dorma Gibson, 76,of Conway, Arkansas, formerly of Pomona, Kansas, died on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. She was born on Friday, September 16, 1932, in Williamsburg, Kansas. She was the daughter of John Graydon Welch and Mary Cynthia (Rice) Welch. She moved from Pomona, Kansas to Columbia, South Carolina in 1962; Ward, Arkansas in 1985; and Conway, Arkansas in 1995. She attended school in Pomona, Kansas. Dorma was a homemaker. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas. On January 7, 1950, Dorma was united in marriage with Wilbert Hoot Gibson in Pomona, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2004. Survivors include: Son-Jere Gibson of Conway, Ark. Daughter-Cindy Johnson of Romance, Ark. Sister-Leota Langley of Oklahoma Grandchildren-Seven Great Grandchildren-Six She was preceded in Death by: Husband-Wilbert Hoot Gibson Father-John Graydon Welch Mother-Mary Cynthia (Rice) Welch Brothers-Three Sisters-One SERVICES: Graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Pomona, Kansas, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2008.
