Obituary " Doris Lee (McKeand) Miller Doris Lee (McKeand) Miller, 74, of New Lancaster, Ks. community, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2007, from complications associated with Parkinson"s disease. She was born February 3, 1933, in Kenova, West Virginia, the daughter of Benjamin and Goldie Bloss McKeand. She graduated from Ceredo-Kenova High School. Following graduation, she worked as a department store clerk and in the offices of Island Creek Coal Company in Huntington, WV. She married Kenneth R. Miller on September 13, 1954 in Huntington, WV. They moved to the family farm west of New Lancaster in 1955 where she was a homemaker and helped her husband on the farm for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She and her husband enjoyed traveling together. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church of New Lancaster. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing and was an avid sports fan. She is preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Hanseford Harvey McKeand, and infant sister, Lois Carol McKeand. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, children Teresa (Jim) Copling of Overland Park, Ks. and Lisa (Mike) Kincaid of the New Lancaster community, grandson Chris (Jordonna) Kincaid of Lee"s Summit, Mo. brothers Russell McKeand of Fairfield, Ca., Wincel (Deanna) McKeand of Doylestown, Oh., and Austin (Darlyne) McKeand of Ormond Beach, Fl., and numerous nieces and nephews.
