She lived in Ottawa since 1950, moving from Melvern, Kansas. She also lived in Rantoul several years. Doris graduated from Spring Hill (Kansas) High School with the class of 1940. She was a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone Co. in the early 1940`s. From 1941 to 1945, during World War II, she worked for Pratt and Whitney Company, an airplane parts manufacturing company. She was also a homemaker. On May 10, 1941, Doris was united in marriage with Thomas Earl Arnold at Rich Hill, Missouri. He survives of their home. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2005. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Arnold at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 5:00 p.m. Saturday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends at 1:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas.
