Doris L. Crumb, age 85, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Friday, October 26, 2012 at Richmond Healthcare and Rehabilitation. She was born on Tuesday, June 14, 1927 in Powhattan, Kansas, the daughter of Albert and Goldie (Oldridge) Wenger. Doris has lived in Ottawa since 2005 moving from Ava, Missouri. She previously had lived in Colorado for fifteen years and in Powhattan, Kansas for fifty-five years. She graduated from Powhattan High School with the class of 1945. On February 22, 1947 Doris was united in marriage to Carol Crumb in Powhattan, Kansas. He survives of the home. Doris was a loving and devoted homemaker. Doris was a member of Powhattan Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary Powhattan and the Eastern Star. She is survived by her: Husband – Carol Crumb of Ottawa, Kansas; Daughter – Carolyn Bailey and her companion John Kossuth of Ottawa, Kansas; Son – Gary Crumb and wife Nancy of Emporia, Kansas; Daughter – Sheril Crumb and her companion Carl King of Clark Ridge, Arkansas; eight Grandchildren and nine Great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her: Three Brothers – Ivan, Delbert and Lloyd Wenger and a Daughter – Vickie Crumb. SERVICES: Cremation has taken place. Graveside Services and Inurnment will be held at a later date in Powhattan Cemetery, Powhattan, Kansas. VISITATION: Family will meet with friends at the Dengel & Son Mortuary, Saturday, November 3, 2012, from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Association c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
