Donna June Hollon, 56, of Burlingame, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at The University of Kansas Health System. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Donna will lie in state from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at the mortuary where friends may view. Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery, west of Centropolis. Donna was born April 27, 1965, at Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Billie G. Sr. and Beulah M. (Engerman) Smith. She lived in the Ottawa/Williamsburg area since 1989 moving in 2016 to Burlingame. In 1984, Donna was united in marriage to William D. Brown. They later divorced. On August 25, 1995, Donna married Steven Hollon in Pomona. They later divorced. Donna was a Certified Nursing Assistant in the early 1990’s to 2011, and waitressed in the 1980’s. She attended Twin Lakes Foursquare Church in Osage City, Kansas. Donna loved her family and the time they spent together. She enjoyed practical jokes, had a green thumb, loved growing plants and being outdoors. She enjoyed singing and driving country roads with family and friends. She loved being a grandmother as her grandkids were her pride and joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Micheal Brown, sister Mary Jones, and brother Lonnie Smith. Survivors include two children, Edna Brown of Williamsburg, and Christopher Brown and fiancée Tori Batten also of Williamsburg; sister Laura Smith of Burlingame; brother Bill (Catheryn) Smith of Centropolis; four grandchildren, Jaden Hill, Braden Hill, Maverick Brown, and Marilyn Brown. The family suggests memorial contributions to Wounded Warriors c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
