Donna Irene Saile, 78, of Baldwin City, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Baldwin Healthcare & Rehabilitation. Celebration of life will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at Ives Chapel United Methodist Church, 108 Miami Street, Baldwin City. Donna was born June 27, 1939 in Lawrence, the daughter of Wesley and Irene (Hopkins) Cline. She lived in Baldwin City for 60 years, moving from Lawrence. She graduated from Linwood High School, Linwood, Kansas. Donna was united in marriage to Bob Saile February 5, 1958 in Lawrence. He survives of the home after 59 years of marriage. Other survivors include her two children, Jeff Saile and wife Brenda of Baldwin City and Steve Saile also of Baldwin City; two sisters, Hope Hill of Galva and Billie Stumbo of Fort Collins, Colorado; three grandchildren, Krissy Kline, Matt Saile and Jake Saile; and great granddaughter, Kalla Kline. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Irene Cline; siblings, Shirley Ash, Barbara Vesco and Butch Cline; and grandson, Bobby Saile. Donna was employed as a clerk for the Baldwin City school district USD 348 Board of Education and was the assistant to the superintendent of Baldwin City schools for twenty-seven years. She was a member of the Worden United Methodist Church, Worden, Kansas and Power of the Past. Donna loved to drive the tractors, work the field, mow, garden and cook. She enjoyed traveling taking many day and weekend trips. The family suggests memorial contributions to Franklin County Cancer Foundation or Power of the Past c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
